This is Lena’s 6th year in 4h where she shows horses and pigs. She has been involved with animals since before she can remember with her primary interest in horses. When she was younger, she enjoyed showing and jumping with her horse Leo. Soon she began to get more involved with Western riding and events such as cattle sorting and barrel racing with her horse Stormy. Lena’s love of riding and the rodeo continues to grow through her involvement with the Montrose County Fair and Rodeo.

Gentry is the 2021-2022 Montrose County Fair and Rodeo Princess. She is the daughter of Ben and Beth Godbey and is a 12-year-old student at Centennial Middle School.  Gentry lives with her parents and brothers on their Montrose ranch where they raise hay and grass-fed beef.  She works hard and helps her family in every way she can, and enjoys branding calves and getting to see the miracle to new calves being born. Gentry’s favorite thing to do is ride her horses, and she especially loves going fast! She is a member of the Colorado State Junior High Rodeo Association where she competes in rodeos across the state and is an active 4H member.
