Montrose, CO—The Montrose County Fair and Rodeo is pleased to announce the theme, schedule, and presenting sponsors for the 2023 event.
The 138th annual fair will be open to the public July 24-29, at the Montrose County Fairgrounds and Event Center. The theme for this year’s fair is “Where Good Things are Growing.”
“The Montrose County Fair is a celebration of our community, our agricultural heritage, and the hard work of our youth,” said Fair Board President Chad Dunlap. “It is a time for us to come together as a community, to learn about where our food comes from, and to be inspired by the young people who are the future of agriculture. The fair is also a great opportunity for families to have fun and make memories that will last a lifetime.”
Fire Mountain Fencing is the presenting sponsor for this year’s Montrose County Fair and Rodeo. Fire Mountain Fencing Owner Ben Harris stated, “It is truly a pleasure to be associated with the Fair, and all that it encompasses to bring agriculture to the forefront in our valley. This is our first year to be involved and I am grateful to have the fair carry the Fire Mountain name. I am proud to be able to support a tremendous event that benefits our entire community.”
The fair will feature a variety of events, including the Buck-It Bull Riding presented by the Gleason Team of Norris-Snell Real Estate, the Flower Motor RAM CPRA Rodeo, the Open Show, the Junior Livestock Auction presented by Megan Wilson of Shelter Insurance, Community Night, and many more family-fun events.
The Open Show is a great way to participate in fair for all ages. This event is open to the public and features a variety of categories, including art, photography, ceramics, quilting, foods, woodworking, horticulture, and floriculture.
